DESIGN ASSISTANT & DRAFT TECHNICIAN

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the dynamic and passionate Bloomsbury design team. The main job responsibility of this role is to work alongside the Design Manager and support designers to manage and execute all daily tasks that are required to maintain our exceptional client experience.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of kitchen design industry experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, CabinetVision, 2020Technologies, or similar.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy & thoroughness are fundamental competencies in this job.

JUNIOR DESIGNER

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the dynamic and passionate Bloomsbury design team. The ideal candidate will have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create unique designs based on conversations with a client. The candidate should be confident communicating regularly with the client in order to assess their needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. The candidate should maintain familiarity with the interior design landscape and trends in order to provide the best ideas for clients. The overall objective of the role is to work alongside the Design Manager and lead designers to manage and execute all project tasks that are required to maintain our exceptional client experience.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of kitchen design industry experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, CabinetVision, 2020Technologies, or similar.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy & thoroughness are fundamental competencies in this job.
  • Charismatic, passionate, innovative, customer service oriented.

DESIGNER & PROJECT MANAGER

This design role is suitable for someone who is confident in being the sole contact with a client, and is able to handle all the design aspects of construction independently. Experience is a must! 

The ideal candidate will have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create unique designs based on conversations with a client. The candidate should be confident communicating regularly with the client in order to assess their needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. The candidate should maintain familiarity with the interior design landscape and trends in order to provide the best ideas for clients. 

The overall objective of the role is to independently manage and execute all project tasks that are required to maintain our exceptional client experience.

 

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of kitchen design industry experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, CabinetVision, 2020Technologies, or similar.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy & thoroughness are fundamental competencies in this job.
  • Charismatic, passionate, innovative, customer service oriented.

CABINET MAKER/MILLWORKER

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the dynamic and passionate Bloomsbury design team. The main responsibilities in this role are to work alongside the Shop Manager and department leaders to manage and execute all daily tasks that are required to maintain our high quality of cabinetry craftsmanship. 

We have an immediate opening for a dynamic, take charge, and detail oriented cabinet maker with strong knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in millwork fabrication and installation.  

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of cabinet maker/millworker industry experience.
  • Attention to detail, dependability and flexibility.
  • Strong written, verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to promote safety internally and in the field.
  • Strong time management and coordination skills.
  • Problem solving and decision making abilities.

CABINET FINISHER/SPECIALTY FINISHER

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the dynamic and passionate Bloomsbury design team. The main responsibilities in this role are to work alongside the Shop Manager and department leaders to manage and execute all daily tasks that are required to maintain our high quality of cabinetry craftsmanship. 

We require an experienced spray finisher for custom kitchen & other cabinetry manufactured in our workshop. Must know how to read plans, supervise finishing prep for doors & cabinet parts, prepare paints and stains for spray application and then apply the paints/lacquers/stains.

We are currently looking for a skilled finisher for our final finish department. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience finishing wood products, including stain, lacquer, tinted lacquers and using spray systems. Experience with specialized finishing techniques such as antiquing will be an asset.

Most importantly, the successful candidate will be a hard worker with a great eye for detail who is committed to learning (or improving) the valuable skill of finishing.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of cabinet finishing industry experience.
  • Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made, or prepare specifications.
  • STAIN: Prep/sand/stain/glaze/spray top coat to solid wood surfaces to achieve the desired stain colour.
  • PAINT: Prep/spray primer/sand/spray paint and brush top coat to wood surfaces to achieve desired painted colour.
  • Attention to detail, dependability and flexibility.
  • Strong written, verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to promote safety internally and in the field.
  • Strong time management and coordination skills.
  • Problem solving and decision making abilities.

CABINET INSTALLER

Exciting opportunity to work within the dynamic and passionate Bloomsbury design team. The main responsibilities in this role are to work alongside the Installation Manager and lead installers to manage and execute all daily tasks that are required to maintain our high quality of in-house cabinetry installation. 

We are currently looking for skilled cabinet installers for our installation & service department. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience reading drawings, interpreting measurements, careful delivery & handling of cabinetry, leveling & installation of cabinetry and charismatic after-care service.

Most importantly, the successful candidate will be a hard worker with a great eye for detail who is committed to learning (or improving) the valuable skill of cabinet installation & after-care service.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of cabinet installation industry experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret cabinetry designs & layouts.
  • Diagnose planned measurements and execute installations accordingly.
  • Conduct work in accordance to company guidelines.
  • Communication of work carried out with installation manager.
  • Ability to resolve issues on-site to complete contract efficiently as possible.
